My Directing Philosophy
As a director, I create theatre that makes audiences feel and think. I want audiences to engage with the performance whether it is to laugh, cry, gasp, or cheer. I create an encouraging environment that is conducive for all artists, actors, choreographers, and designers, to make bold decisions and feel confident in their performances. I encourage artists to be as daring, fearless, passionate, and empathetic as I am. I lead by example and am here to serve others. I care for everyone I work with and encourage artists to allow their hearts and technique to guide them in their storytelling.

I strive to amplify the voices of underrepresented people. My art empowers women, people of color, people of disability, and people of the LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit communities. I'm a proud Mexican and Croatian woman. |

I welcome the exchange of ideas from all artists and believe this allows creativity to flow. I also believe that collaboration and encouragement builds trust and elevates the art in our community. |
